Mom Accused Of Faking Daughter's Terminal Illness To Raise Money

By: KDKA-TV News Staff

CANTON, Oh. (KDKA) -- Police in Ohio are investigating claims that a Canton-area mother faked her daughter's terminal illness in order to raise money.

The mom allegedly told her 11-year-old that she had a brain tumor and was going to die.

However, there's no medical evidence to support that claim.

She's also accused of setting up GoFundMe accounts and fundraisers to collect donations for the girl's medical care.
