NEW BRIGHTON (KDKA) — A woman is injured after a shooting in New Brighton Saturday.

At one point this morning, police were pinned, but that is no longer the case.

Following a standoff, police were able to arrest 29-year-old Lonnie Nalepa of Baden.

According to police, they had been called to an apartment for a domestic incident. Once on the scene, Nalepa fired shots at the woman and at police.

The woman was struck in the arm and chest. Police were able to get her out and with assistance from state police and SWAT, they were able to arrest Naleopa without incident.

Nalepa is facing two counts of criminal attempted homicide.

He is currently at the Beaver County Jail awaiting arraignment.
