Arcade Comedy Theater also offers workshops and classes for those wanting to learn and fine-tune their comedy. This theater allows patrons to bring their own alcohol but be sure to check their rules and regulations before you pack the cooler. Located right downtown, The Arcade Comedy Theater offers something special for those that love a variety of comedic acts.

The Pittsburgh Improv is a staple of the comedy community in Pittsburgh. With national headliners, like Ralphie May and Doug Benson, gracing the stage, patrons are sure to get a belly full of laughs every visit, without fail. The Pittsburgh Improv also caters to local, up-and-coming comics. They host open mic nights and the Pittsburgh All-Star Comedy Showcase July 2 and July 3. Tickets are available on their website. Steel City Improv has an ever changing schedule of improv and comedy shows. If you're looking to partake in the action, rather than just watch, sign up for their workshops or weekly classes to hone your improv skills. Not sure if you'd like it? Try out their free sample improv class. They also have an in-house improv team that require hopefuls to audition. While there is no age restriction, they do suggest audience members be 16 years or older as they do not censor their shows.
