The Mattress Factory on the North Side is a museum of contemporary art in which artists live and create their work as room-sized installations. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra plays at historic Heinz Hall in downtown Pittsburgh. The accomplished orchestra plays a range of classical and contemporary music and hosts a variety of high profile conductors and instrumentalists. They also tour internationally. The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are housed in a Victorian greenhouse within Schenley Park in the Oakland neighborhood.
