Steelers Wide Receiver Hines Ward with Seibel and Starkey

Hines Ward sat down with Joe Starkey for a one-on-one interview and the two covered a number of topics.  Joe started things off asking Hines to break down his 81st career TD this past week, moving him past Jerome Bettis for second place on the Steelers all-time touchdown list.  Hines said it was special for him to pass Jerome, someone he is still very close to, and was able to talk to him after the game since he was in attendance.

Hines also talked about this years team, saying they are good, but it's too soon to tell if this is possibly one of the best teams he has been a part of.

Hines also weighed in on the rule changes the NFL has made after the past weekend of violent hits saying they are overreacting to something that has been there all along.  As a Wide Receiver, Hines said that the other guys who play the position need to protect themselves, and Mohamed Massaquoi should have just sat down after recognizing it was zone coverage rather than opening himself up to James Harrison in the open field.
