Police are investigating after a body was found in a Glassport apartment building early Wednesday morning.

The body was discovered on the second floor of the building near the intersection of Monongahela Avenue and 8th Street.

According to KDKA’s Harold Hayes, the landlord, who lives on the first floor, discovered the body.

The identity of the victim has not been released. However, police have confirmed that it is a 30-year-old woman.

The cause of death is unknown at this time.
