Fayette Co. Burglary A Family Affair
DUNBAR TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A father and son are behind bars in the Fayette County Jail facing burglary charges.
According to police, the two used a hammer to break the rear window of a house on Broadway Street in Dunbar Township.
Officials say the son then allegedly went inside and ransacked the house while the father served as a look out on the back porch.
The break-in happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
The suspects were chased from the scene by two neighbors who saw what was going on.
They have been identified as 19-year-old Ricky Simpson Jr., and his father, 45-year-old Ricky Simpson Sr., both of Leisenring.
The two are charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
They are being held in the jail, unable to post $10,000 bond.
They are scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 16.
