Gattuso: Romeus Will Get His Opportunity To Play In The NFL

Pitt Panthers Asst. Head Coach and defensive line coach, Greg Gattuso joined the Fan Morning Show to talk about the loss to the UConn Huskies last Thursday night. It was a tough loss, but the way to come back from a tough is through hard work during practice, Gattuso said. UConn is a very sound football team that doesn't make a lot of mistakes, and they took advantage of the Panthers mistakes especially late in the game.

Gattuso doesn't think the extra time off is a negative for the team as they prepare for upcoming games. The team prepares the same whether it is a long week or normal week leading up to the game. The team is starting to play towards it peak as the week goes on even with key injuries to the team, Gattuso said.

Gattuso previews what the Pitt Panthers are looking at as they head into their game against South Floirda. Gattuso said they will have to keep their eye on USF's QB B.J. Daniels as he has stepped up his game lately. Daniels is a mobile quarterback which means the Pitt defense will be chasing him out of the pocket with all the options Daniels brings to the USF offnense.

Gattuso spoke about the loss of Greg Romeus for the rest of the season and thinks Romeus will get his opportunity to play in the NFL as he has shown NFL teams what kind of player he is with his body of work at Pitt.
