North Huntingdon Crash Kills 1, Injures 1

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One woman died in an early Saturday morning accident in Westmoreland County.

According to police, the one-vehicle accident happened on Brownstown Road in North Huntingdon Township around 12:10 a.m.

The 23-year-old female driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The 1993 Chevrolet slid up an embankment and hit a tree before flipping and coming to rest on its roof.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a male passenger was transported to Forbes Regional Hospital for treatment. His condition is not known at this time.

Police are still investigating, but speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Names of the victims have not been released at this time.

    sad story. victim was only 23 years old. western PA’s hills and curves are dangerous for young drivers.
