Teacher To Appear In Court On Abuse Charges

BRENTWOOD (KDKA) – A local high school French teacher is set to appear in court today on charges of injuring her child last summer.

Stephanie Faust and her husband, Scott, are facing child abuse charges.

In June, doctors found broken bones and head trauma when the boy was just 10-weeks-old.

The couple’s attorney said that the boy suffers from a condition that makes his bones brittle.

Faust teaches at Brentwood High School.

am a father with a child that has brittle bone disease. My son was born with 4 fracture ribs, broken leg, broken arm etc. It is a HORRIBLE disease. He broke his hip by simply plopping on his butt. Do you really think a mother AND a father would both abuse a 10 week old baby?! This reeks of brittle bone disease. Kids with brittle bones come in all shapes and sizes. There are over 10 different types. Please hold judgment until everything comes out.
