Pittsburgh (93-7 The FAN) – Robert Morris men’s hockey coach Derek Schooley joined the Fan Morning Show to talk about tonight’s hockey game at the Consol Energy Center against RIT.

The Robert Morris team plays in front of about 1,200 people on their home ice and tonight, advanced ticket sales are at 11,000 with the team expecting 15-16,000 after the student rush today.

The Colonials are on a six-game winning streak and are off to the best start in school history with a 12-4-1 record.

The Colonials played RIT earlier in the year and lost to them in overtime.

Schooley says his team is playing really well and expects that to continue throughout the season.

One reason for the consistent play of the team is the leadership they have. “The team is made up of 15 junior and senior players and you do well when you get a good upper class base,” Schooley said.
