Pittsburgh (93-7 The Fan) – FSN hockey analyst and former Penguin Jay Caufield joined the Fan Morning Show to talk about the Winter Classic weekend. Caufield played in the Alumni Game and said the Caps alumni started to come after Mario Lemieux more as the game progressed.

Marc-Andre Fleury has been skating outside the crease more to handle the puck to set up his defensemen, but Caufield thinks he should temper it a little. However, the best athletes are the ones that react, and sometimes those reactions backfire, Caufield said.

A lot of people think the Penguins might have a hangover from the build up to the Winter Classic and Caufield is one of them. He says that is a strong possibility, but that it’s the job of the coaching staff and the players to stay focused.
