Thousands Hoping For Lucky Mega Millions Ticket

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $330 million and people around the area are hoping to cash in.

In the state of Pennsylvania, $2.1 million in tickets were sold on Monday. On Tuesday, the rush continued.

“I don’t have luck. Maybe today I will,” Joe Vogel said.

It’s a longshot that you’ll end up winning the jackpot, but that isn’t stopping people from trying.

While winning the jackpot would be great, some people would settle for just a piece.

“If I could win anything, I’d like to win a million. I would like to win $1 million, just to say I won $1 million dollars, to be a millionaire,” Jamie Hamilton said.

Then, there’s a small percentage of people who don’t believe that you have to play at all.

“What would I do with $330 million anyhow,” Charlie Mincon said. “I have everything I need.”

The Pennsylvania State Lottery said the chance of winning is about 1 in 175 million.
