Natrona Heights Man Behind Bars For Internet Postings

NATRONA HEIGHTS (KDKA) -- Prosecutors are asking a judge to keep a self-proclaimed jihadist from Natrona Heights in jail because they say he's a danger to the community.

Emerson Begolly, 21, can be seen in online postings wearing a Nazi uniform and traditional Arabic clothing.

The FBI wanted to question him about some recent internet postings in which he advocated killing Jews and a holy war.

In another, he sang of killing people.

"Grab my gun and grab my ammo/Strap my kamarband onto my chest/Get dressed up in my camo/Martyrdom is what I wanted best."

Testimony in federal court indicated that when questioned by the FBI, his mother used a ruse to get him into a car. She got out and FBI agents opened the doors. He allegedly fought them, biting two agents and reaching for his pocket where he had a .9 millimeter gun ready to fire.

As he was handcuffed, he asked his mother whether she had anything to do with it. She said yes – she wanted to get him help at which point he referred to her as Judas.

His mother, with whom he lived with part of the time in Natrona Heights, said he often would take long walks while armed.

She said she's seen pictures of him firing an AK-47 and other guns. The FBI is asking a judge to keep him in jail until his trial.

His mother says Begolly has a genius IQ, but has Aspberger's, a form of autism in which the person can't interact very well socially.
