Number One Nachos

Rania Harris is helping to do her part and get your pre-game party off to a great start with this week’s Heinz Red Zone recipe for Number One Nachos!

Number One Nachos

1 pound Lean ground beef
1 package (1.25-oz.) Taco seasoning mix
½ cup Water
½ cup Heinz® Tomato Ketchup
1 package (8- to 10-oz.) Tortilla chips
½ cup Shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup Diced fresh tomato

1. In a medium skillet, brown beef until thoroughly cooked, 5-6 minutes. Drain fat.

2. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water and simmer 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in Ketchup and heat.

3. Place chips in a baking dish overlapping chips slightly. Top chips with beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.

4. Bake in 400-degree oven, 3-5 minutes to melt cheese. Top with diced tomato.

    Just wanted to add that the nachos at PNC Park were TERRIBLE last year. They went to the white chips (instead of the tasty yellow). TOTALLY TASTELESS.
