Police Looking For Bank Robbery Suspect

EAST HUNTINGDON (KDKA) – Authorities are looking for a suspected bank robbery.

New surveillance photos show a very clear picture of the suspect as he carries out the bank robbery and now police need your help to identify him.

This all happened around 11 a.m. Monday at the first Niagara Bank in East Huntingdon.

The suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt. He waits in line just like any other customer, except that he leaves on his gloves.

Even when he gets to the counter, there is no visible panic.

Police say he never spoke to the teller – just passed a note demanding cash and saying that he had a gun.

The suspect got away with an unknown amount of money.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at (724)-832-3288.

Why didn’t the teller ask him to remove his ballcap?

  2. Dave says:

Being confrontational with someone who claims to have a gun is not in his/her best interest. And the bank might not have a “no hat” policy. Even if it did, it’s not the teller’s job to enforce policy. That would be the manager’s job.
