U.S. Senators Wager Local Food On Super Bowl XLV

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) — Two newly elected United States senators have made a friendly wager on Super Bowl XLV.

Republican Senators Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania have put each city’s local food on the line.

If the Packers win, Sen. Toomey will send Sen. Johnson a delivery of Primanti Bros. sandwiches, topped with French fries, coleslaw and tomatoes.

If the Steelers win, Johnson will deliver an assortment of Wisconsin bratwurst, cheese and beer.

  1. Gerald Brown says:

When the steelers win keep the cheesehead brats and have Ron Johnson buy Primanti Bros. Steeler Nation eats sandwhiches not cheesehead unless on the field

  2. Scion of the Strip says:

Primanti Brothers sandwiches don’t taste very good when they are not eaten fresh and warm. I would hate to imagine what one would be like after being shipped.

  3. Jay says:

I don’t want to eat either one. Primanti’s French Fry sandwiches are the most overrated thing in Pittsburgh.

  4. alt81 says:

I think instead of sending each other treats, the city who wins the Super Bowl should receive a donation to its local food bank. It would send a better message.
