Man Charged After Fight Involving Sticks & Shovel

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A Westmoreland County man is facing charges after a fight at his home on Monday.

The weapons of choice were two large sticks and a shovel.

One of the victims told police that her husband had been drinking and taking Vicodin in the hours before the fight.

She said at one point, he grabbed her around the neck before going after her brother with two large sticks.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. at a home in the 100-block of Walker Road in Washington Township.

Michael Kadora, 56, was arguing with his wife, Brenda, when he allegedly grabbed her around the neck.

A short time later, her brother showed up. At that time, Michael Kadora went after him with the sticks.

Brenda Kadora's brother, Kenneth Mascro, used a shovel to defend himself until police arrived.

Michael Kadora was arraigned this morning on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

He was released under the condition that he not have any contact with his wife or her brother.
