Family Safe After West End House Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A family was able to get to safety after a fire broke out at their home on Pittsburgh’s West End overnight.

The flames broke out around 12:30 a.m. in the 2700-block of Bergman Avenue.

When crews arrived, they only saw smoke; but after they got inside, fire erupted on the third floor.

Officials say the cause is under investigation.

The Red Cross is helping the two adults and four children who lived there.

This is Sheraden, not West End. West End is the town you enter when you come thru the West End Circle, then you go up the hill and you enter Elliott… then you travel a couple miles and then you come to Sheraden. I know technically it is in the West End section of Pittsburgh, but it is not the West End.

The news almost always refers to the West End, even if it’s Ingram or Windgap

    It’s Bergman St. not Ave.
