Malkin Returns, But Letestu Out 4-6 Weeks

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Penguins center Evgeni Malkin will be returning to the ice tonight when the team faces the Buffalo Sabres at the CONSOL Energy Center.

Malkin missed the last five games, include the All-Star Game, with a knee injury and a sinus infection. He has 15 goals, 22 assists and 37 points in 42 games this season.

There is also some bad news for the Penguins. Center Mark Letestu injured his meniscus in the morning skate on Tuesday and will be out four to six weeks from arthroscopic knee surgery.

Coach Dan Bylsma did not give an update on the status of captain Sidney Crosby. However, he did say Crosby will take some time away from the team and visit his family in Nova Scotia.

Crosby leads the team with 32 goals and 34 assists in 41 games this season.
