Crews Clean Up Chemical Spill In Oakland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Hazmat crews were called to a chemical spill at the Pitt Biomedical Tower in Oakland this afternoon.

According to police, the spill happened in a room on the 10th floor of the building in the 3500-block of Fifth Avenue.

Authorities say the spill was emitting toxic fumes, but no injuries were reported.

Emergency officials say the Hazmat crews were able to contain and clean up the scene.
