NHL Analyst Goldstein: “Cooke Got Off Easy”

CBS Sports.com NHL senior writer Wes Goldstein joined Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan’s Vinnie & Cook to tell us why he thinks Matt Cooke got off easy with a four-game suspension, and how the entire hockey nation is viewing Sidney Crosby’s concussion. Wes also tells us how Penguins GM Ray Shero may approach the trading deadline and he thinks an ex-Penguin might be a decent short-term fix.

    we have a very slim chance at the cup now……..maybee even the playoffs,,even if we aquired hossa we would still need hope,,we are with out gonch,crosby,malkim,from last years playoffs and 2 years ago cup…are team stinks without them players,not a opinion,,,,this is a fact..

    here we go again. what am i missing here. everybody talking about the dirty hit by cooke, but nobody saying anything about the dirty hot on Crosby. what is going on here. why doesnt sportswriter in this town ask the hard question. Why wasnt the hits on Crosby classified as dirty? and if anyone says they were legal, you are a moron

      What a shame, first is was the NFL not wanting the Steelers to win, now it’s the NHL being unfair to the Penguins. I guess that the Pirates don’t have a chance now.
