2 Detained After Car Hits Police Cruiser

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people were detained by police overnight after they allegedly rammed a police cruiser with their car, then tried to run away.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. at Virginia and Southern Avenues in Mount Washington.

According to police, the suspect's car swerved into the car of a narcotics detective.

Authorities say the driver and a passenger jumped out and tried to get away, but were caught by other officers in the area.
