Water Main Break Causes Problems In Shaler

SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A water main break flooded streets in Shaler Township Sunday night.

The break happened near Route 8 and Saxonburg Boulevard.

Officials say nearby businesses lost water service for a short time.

Public works crews were called to the scene.

It doesn’t appear there was any major damage. So far, there is no word on what caused the break.

I’m starting to think that somehow the water department from shaler is causing all these ruptures. There is an awful lot of them (ruptures) in that township. They suuuuuure do get a lot of overtime for repairing these accidents.

Did you ever hear of the freeze-thaw cycle? Happens every year as winter is winding down, especially with the old infrastructure in western PA.
