Dan Bylsma Happy With Effort Against Chicago

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma spoke with the media following his teams’ 3-2 shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks Sunday.

Bylsma didn’t have an update on the injury to Jordan Staal, who was hit up high by Kris Letang’s slap shot late in the game.

Bylsma said he isn’t too concerned because  Staal gave him the thumbs up after the game.

He was happy with the way his team played against the Blackhawks and to get a point in the standings, despite the loss.

Bylsma also previewed what the Penguins will have to do in tonight’s game against the Washington Capitals.

Crosby will report to Shero and Mario this week, he is done for the year. This will free up more cap space. However, don’t bank the Penguins will go out and be big spenders in the market. Rumor has it they will retool for next year and sell off some “last year” contracts such as Talbot’s and let the youth movement begin and add young quality players to go for it all next year. Penguin’s as sellers?
