Man Accused In Lewd Act Headed To Trial

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- A man accused of exposing himself in several public places is now heading to trial.

Ronald Shaffer, 69, waived his right to a preliminary hearing today in court.

Authorities say he is first accused of exposing himself outside of the Walmart in East Huntingdon.

An employee saw him and told him to leave. Police say Shaffer is accused of then hitting the man with his car.

Shaffer is also accused of exposing himself outside a Walmart in Fayette County and at the Westmoreland Mall.

Shaffer is facing aggravated assault, open lewdness and other charges.
