Battle Reaches Milestone In Win Over Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. (KDKA/AP) - Penn State evened their Big Ten record at 8-8 with a 66-52 win over Northwestern on Thursday night.

Penn State guard Talor Battle reached a conference milestone when he recorded three assists in the game.

A four-year starter, Battle becomes the first player in conference history to reach 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists. Battle now has a total of 2,079 points, 594 rebounds and 500 assists.

The Nittany Lions, (15-12, 8-8) were led by forward Jeff Brooks with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. David Jackson scored 12 points and Tim Frazier added 10 points and 10 assists.

Penn State has two games left this season and next up for the Nittany Lions is Ohio State at home on Tuesday, March 1 with tip-off at 9 p.m.
