Pirates' Walker Focuses On Playing Better
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Neil Walker joined the FAN Morning Show to talk about the progress being made at Spring Training in Bradenton, Fla.
Walker is excited to be guaranteed a position heading into Spring Training. He says he can focus on getting better. The infielder is working with Bill Mazeroski to improve his footwork and fielding techniques.
Walker said Clint Hurdle has brought new life to the team in Spring Training.
After his first full year in the Majors, Walker said he knows how to handle the long grind of a full season and how to stay positive and push through the down times.
