Post-Gazette writer Dejan Kovacevic joined Seibel, Starkey, and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about the recent article he wrote about Penguins defenseman Kris Letang and everything else Pittsburgh sports.
When it comes to the play of Kris Letang this year, Dejan said the team letting Sergei Gonchar go in the offseason has aided in his development since he was forced to step into Gonchar’s old role and up his level of play.
Dejan also talked about the Pirates and the recent remarks team President Frank Coonelly made about the team’s payroll, and what it will take for them to be competitive.
We wrapped things up with Dejan by having him talk about the La Roche Men’s Basketball team, which he has been covering lately, as they continue to play this year after the sudden passing of their Head Coach Scott Lang. Dejan said he has been covering a lot of the major sporting events associated with Pittsburgh teams including the Super Bowl and Winter Classic, but all those things combined don’t even come close to what the atmosphere was like around the La Roche team and their fans.
