Former Teller Accused Of Embezzling $400,000
BEAVER (KDKA) -- A federal grand jury indicted a local woman on charges of embezzling $400,000 from the federal credit union where she used to work.
Shirley Howl, 55, is charged with one count of embezzlement and 15 counts of falsifying records.
Howl was employed as the head teller at the Beaver office of the West-AirComm Federal Credit Union.
The FBI investigated the missing funds. The indictment says the thefts took placed from 2007 to 2009.
