Man Killed In Stowe Twp. Accident

STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – The man killed in an accident involving a car and a dump truck in Stowe Township has been identified.

The crash happened on Island Avenue near the intersection of Neville Road shortly after 11 a.m.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 78-year-old Robert McCartney, of Scott Township.

McCartney was one of two people inside the blue Pontiac that collided with the dump truck. A second person inside the car was also hurt and taken to a local hospital.

There is no word on that person’s condition.

The accident investigation is ongoing.
