Westmoreland Co. Reeling After EF2 Tornado

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio1020 KDKA) — Residents of Westmoreland County are picking up the pieces today after a severe storm and confirmed tornado touched down in Hempfield Township. 

Dan Stevens, deputy emergency management director in Westmoreland County, joined Rose and Paul on the KDKA Afternoon News to discuss the fallout. 

Stevens confirmed that the twister was an EF2.  He also assessed damage and described recovery efforts.

    That’s just like the weather people saying they can “predict” when they can only “forecast” because they have no control over any of the independent variables that cause the weather.
