PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Is Pitt guard Ashton Gibbs considering entering the 2011 NBA Draft?

Bob Pompeani of KDKA-TV Sports reports that Gibbs will go thru the process of entering the draft but will not hire an agent.

In the end, we don’t believe Gibbs will actually folllow thru and officially enter the draft.

While Gibbs is a great 3-pt shooter (49% from 3-pt range this year), his game doesn’t translate to the NBA yet. He doesn’t have the ability yet to create his own shot.

It’s very doubtful that Gibbs would get drafted in either the first or second round.

The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft is April 24th.
