WILKINSBURG (KDKA) — Two young men were listed in serious condition and another in critical after an apparent shootout in Wilkinsburg.

It happened just after noon on Monday near the intersection of La Belle Avenue and Clark Street.

Allegheny County Police Lt. Andy Schurman tells the KDKA investigators he believes both parties had weapons, though none was found.

Neighbors report hearing about six shots ring out. After the exchange of gunfire, the three victims were taken to area hospitals.

Police do not know whether the assailants were on foot or in a vehicle.
