Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Pens are holding their first practice in preparation for Wednesday’s Game 1 vs. Tampa Bay. Is Sid Crosby on the ice with his teammates?

Tuesday’s Pens practice notes:

*Crosby is currently on the ice prior to the team’s practice. Reportedly, there’s some light bumping going on in certain drills.

* Matt Cooke, Nick Johnson and Eric Tangradi are also on the ice early.

*Early word is that winger James Neal’s wrist injury isn’t serious. No official word from the Pens on that. We’ll let you know if he’s on the ice for practice, which is scheduled to start at 11 AM.

Check back and I’ll update this as I get more information from practice.

(11:08 AM): James Neal takes the ice at practice. Very good news for the Pens.

(11:19 AM): Crosby is on the ice with teammates. Centering the 5th line with Erik Godard and Mike Comrie.

(11:28 AM): Jim Colony of 93.7 FM “The Fan” says these are the lines the Pens are using:

Kunitz-Staal-Kennedy

Neal-Letestu-Kovalev

Conner-Talbot-Dupuis

Rupp-Adams-Asham

(11:37 AM): First PP Unit: Neal – Staal – Kovalev With Letang and Michalek at the point
Sid is working on the Pens second PP unit

(12:33 PM): Neal tells the media after practice that he’s fine and will play in Game 1.

(12:42 PM): Dan Bylsma confirms that Crosby still has not been cleared for contact in practice.

(1:00 PM): Michalek and Martin will be the top D pairing with Letang and Orpik 2nd
