Gov. Tom Corbett kicked off Pennsylvania’s observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War on Tuesday.
The official program to celebrate the anniversary is called Pennsylvania Civil War 150. It is being run by several organizations across the state including the Senator John Heinz History Center.
Many activities and events will take place over the next four years to recognize the anniversary.
