Rudy Owens turned in a great performance Monday night, and last night another Pirate top prospect pitched a gem.

Altoona RHP Bryan Morris is a player that some people believe could be in the Pirates 2012 rotation. Last night, Morris turned in a performance that had to impress Pirates GM Neal Huntington.

Morris, along with 3 Altoona relievers, combined to shut out the Akron Aeros, 2-0.

Morris pitched 6 innings, allowing only 4 hits, 0 ER, 1 walk and struck out 3 batters.
