Pens/Lightning Game 2 Gameday Notes

Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

After getting shutout in Game 1, the Lightning are making some changes for tonight’s game.

Game Day Notes:
* is saying, look for Ryan Malone to move up to the top line with Steven Stamkos and Simon Gagne. It’s believed that Malone presence would open up space for Stamkos and Gagne. Malone would have to due battle for Pens defenseman Brooks Orpik.

*Lightning forward Martin St. Louis will play despite having a double root canal yesterday.

*Pens line combos for this morning’s skate:

*Marc-Andre Fleury contributed to NHL history with his shutout in Game 1. Since the start of 16-team playoff format in 1979-80 season, there had never been at least four total shutouts in Game 1s of the first round (Pens, Buffalo, Montreal, Vancouver).

    St. Louis had a root canal, big deal. It’s not like he had a surgical procedure or a broken bone or stitches or anything like that. And if he doesn’t want to get hit in the face tell him to stay on his feet.
