Car Crashes Into West End House After Chase

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A 4-month-old baby was in the backseat of a car that led police on a chase through the West End Monday afternoon.

KDKA’s Lynne Hayes-Freeland reports the suspect, from West Virginia, allegedly made a drug buy before undercover cops pursued him.

During the pursuit, the suspect wrecked the car and crashed into a house near the intersection of Steuben and Wabash Streets. The house didn’t sustain much damage.

The male driver was injured and taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

The two women were also inside the car. They weren’t hurt. Police let them go and they will not face charges.

Hope the baby is OK. And hopefully the driver will spend many years in prison. What kind of person does a police chase with a baby in the car?

He’ll be on the street shooting cops and other good guys before the week is out. If the folks that live around bad guys are afraid to make said bad guys meet their maker, then they deserve to be terrorized by them. Aren’t you all DONE looking the other way yet?

  5. Bea says:

If one of the women was the mother of that child, why weren’t they charged wtih child endangerment? Who takes a baby on a drug buy? You can be sure they weren’t waiting until they got home to W.V. to do the drugs, or that they were just innocent bystanders? Did they at least notify CYF there?

  6. LOL @ CYF says:

CYF thats a laugh they’ll just cry over the phone and complain how your’re making them do some work.
I know people that work for them and they’re a bunch of lazy idiot’s.
