PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh police have arrested a man following an argument and shooting, allegedly over a cigarette.

According to police, 32-year-old Lamarr Marshall entered Lakeisha Lane’s Kelly Street home around 6:30 p.m. in Homewood on Tuesday.

He shot her in the leg when she refused to give him a cigarette.

“I was in my room and I heard a shot go off,” a friend who was upstairs at the time told KDKA-TV. “I come downstairs, she had a bullet in her leg and the person who shot her was gone.”

Authorities say her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Marshall is facing several charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault and illegally carrying a firearm.

He has a firearms charge because he was previously convicted of armed robbery.
