Game 4: Pens Beat Lightning, 3-2 In Double OT

TAMPA BAY (KDKA/AP) -- James Neal came through with a goal in double overtime, lifting the Penguins over the Lightning, 3-2 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday night.

The Pens have now taken a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

Neal gathered a loose puck along the boards and sent the winning shot past goalie Dwayne Roloson, who had 50 saves for Tampa Bay.

Tyler Kennedy scored on the power play at 8:14 in the first to give the Pens a 1-0 lead. The Penguins were 0 for 15 on power-play opportunities - and just six
for 81 in their previous 26 games overall - before Kennedy's shot from the left circle got past Roloson.

Arron Asham made it 2-0 at 2:39 in the second with an assist from Ben Lovejoy. Asham has three goals in the series.

Martin St. Louis' goal with less than three minutes left in the second changed the momentum in Tampa Bay's favor. St. Louis raced up the right wing, cut in front of Lovejoy just as the defenseman dove to try to get his stick on the puck and beat Marc-Andre Fleury to the far post.

Sean Bergenheim tied it at 2-2 with just 3:17 left in regulation to sent the game to overtime.

The Lightning failed to take advantage of a power-play opportunity in the first OT, and got off only one shot in the second extra period before Neal ended it with his first goal of the playoffs.

Fleury made 29 saves, nine of them in the extra periods. Game 5 is set for Saturday at 12 p.m. at the CONSOL Energy Center.
