Woman Struck By Vehicle While Holding Child

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There was a close call this morning for a grandmother out walking with her granddaughter in Shadyside.

Pittsburgh police say she was crossing Walnut Street at Copeland Street while holding the 8-month-old girl when they were hit by a car.

The car knocked her to the ground, but she was not seriously hurt.

The baby was taken to Children's Hospital as a precaution.
