PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Frank Coonelly, President of the Pittsburgh Pirates, made a surprise visit Monday to The FAN Morning Show.

Mr. Coonelly discusses the Pirates’ recent attendance figures, the struggles of Andrew McCutchen and Pedro Alvarez and the Bucs’ charge to .500.

If the Pirates had middle relief pitcher of major league quality, the team might be 5 or 6 games over .500 right now.

The season is early and they are playing well. Lets see what happens toward the end of June. Maybe these guys can keep the momentum going, it would be great to finish in a place other than last
