Former Steeler Alan Faneca Retires

One of the greatest offensive lineman in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers announced his retirement today.

35-year old Alan Faneca, the Steelers 1st round pick in 1998, retired from the National Football League.

Faneca was selected to nine Pro Bowl and was named to the Steelers' 75th Anniversary all-time team.

After playing 10 seasons with the Steelers, Faneca played 2 years with the NY Jets and finished his career with the Arizona Cardinals.
