Railroad Crossing Project To Affect Access To Waterfront
HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- Getting to the Waterfront in Homestead just became a bit more difficult.
Construction crews tore up the railroad crossing on Amity Street – one of the entrances to the shopping area.
Until May 13th, drivers will not be able to access the development through Amity Street. Pedestrians are still able to cross.
Crews are working on two different railroad crossings at the same time to minimize the impact on businesses.
Two other ways to access the Waterfront are the Homestead Grays Bridge ramp to Fifth Avenue or the eastern entrance off Route 837 at the flyover bridge.
