Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis

Join NewsRadio 1020 KDKA and AAA Traffic Reporter Kathy Berggren on Sunday, June 12th for Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis at Carnegie Mellon University.

Crohn’s disease is a chronic disorder that causes inflammation of the digestive or gastrointestinal tract.  A related disease ulcerative colitis, are the two that belong to a larger group of illnesses called inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s largest fundraising event. 

Participants raise funds and awareness throughout the year and come together to celebrate the steps that have been taken towards a cure.  Take a step towards a future free from Crohn’s and colitis.

Registration is at 3:00pm and the walk kicks off at 4:30.  For details on the event, map and directions, click here.

    To the editor: I guess you spelled it “Chron’s” Crhon’s” and Chrohn’s — all in the same article — so you’d get it right at least once. If you care enough about those with the disease to write the article, you should care enough to get the spelling right.

    I think June 14 is a Tuesday. Does the author mean June 12, 2011?
