Disabled Tractor Trailer Removed From Roadway

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A disabled tractor trailer caused some major traffic problems this morning in Penn Hills.

The vehicle was blocking Rodi Road near Duff Road in both directions, but it has since been removed.

It reportedly got stuck on a curb while trying to turn onto Rodi Road.

According to Allegheny County’s Department of Emergency Services, the incident caused traffic to back up onto the Parkway East at Penn Hills and onto Route 22 in Churchill/Wilkins Township.

It took crews about an hour to remove the truck and reopen the road.

These double trailers should be illegal….Drivers don’t know how to handle these trains…They are impossible to back up…Cops wouldn’t allow cars without a reverse gear to be allowed on the highway!!

  2. dude says:

Tommy boy, unless you have a CDL please don’t preach about pulling doubles and how they’re somehow unsafe.

i”m sure it’s tough to find something to report, but a report on a truck that is no longer blocking a roadway, you people need to do a better job fininding stories.

  4. Bob says:

That’s not a double… it’s another truck trying to pull the disabled truck back.
