HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Firefighters were called to a nursing home after it was reportedly struck by lightning.

This happened at the Oakhill Nursing Home in Hempfield Township.

There was reportedly smoke coming from the building. Firefighters were able to air out the building. Residents were not evacuated.

Firefighters tell KDKA-TV they believe a power surge caused the smoke. The building was not damaged.
