Officer Injured In East Liberty Crash

EAST LIBERTY (KDKA) – A police officer was injured in an early Monday morning crash in East Liberty.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Penn Circle West and Penn Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

The cruiser slammed into the side of the other vehicle. As a result, airbags in both vehicles deployed.

The officer was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, while the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

    They sure have been crashing a lot of cruisers lately, maybe it’s time we start making the cops take blood tests for drugs and alcohol as well…. they signed the implied consent on their DL just like us
