Man Injured In Shadyside Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was shot in a busy city neighborhood.
KDKA's Kym Gable reports that one man was shot in the stomach after words were exchanged in the 5700-block of Centre Avenue in Shadyside around 5 p.m.
The shooting happened near high-rise apartment and office buildings. A witness told KDKA-TV says he was working when he heard three shots.
According to witnesses, the shooting victim walked to the corner where he fell. The man was conscious and alert when paramedics arrived at the scene. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Pittsburgh police are in the neighborhood interviewing potential witnesses. Authorities have set up a perimeter at South Negley and Centre Avenues.
